I’m Vincent Dugan, President of Empire Surgical Products, a company dedicated to providing you with the finest service for your surgical and medical needs.
We’ve been delivering that service at Empire Surgical Products ever since I founded the company in January 2010. I’m proud to say we’re exclusive distributors for such quality suppliers as Conformis and TriMed.
Empire Surgical Solutions is a great company because it’s built on trust, competence—and experience, starting with my thirteen years as a U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman. Leaving the service, I graduated to serving as a sales representative for DePuy Mitek, specializing in orthopedic sports medicine equipment and implants.
Later, at Empire Surgical Solutions, I had the privilege of being mentored by such outstanding professionals as Dirk Gorman. We were the #1 top performing distributorship for DePuy Mitek for seven consecutive years—and it was no accident. DePuy Mitek provided the products. We provided the customer service, emerging as major players in the most competitive orthopedic marketplace in the USA.

Meet Andy Liszewski
Andy Liszewski earned a Master of Mechanical Engineering degree with a medical focus from the University of Bath, in England. As part of his thesis, he designed and built a variation of the Oxford Knee Rig to investigate the relationship of femoral condyle shape with the forces required of the extensor mechanism throughout simple extension. His rig and thesis successfully proved the Stryker single-radius design to better match the biomechanics of the natural knee than the multi-radius design.
Interested in observing orthopaedic surgery firsthand, Andy started working with Skeletal Dynamics in the New York metropolitan area, distributing Dr. Orbay's latest approach to distal radius fracture fixation. In his time working with Skeletal Dynamics, he gained a better understanding of excellent product design, service and what is needed to successfully push a product in the market place. He benefitted from the mentorship of experienced industry professionals, including from some of the original Hand Innovations leadership team and sales force.
After breaking new ground and spearheading approval into Hospital for Special Surgery, NYU, New York Presbyterian, Maimonides and HHC, Skeletal Dynamics transitioned to a model using a direct sales force. Andy then joined Empire's team, representing Conformis and TriMed in the area. He has found it exciting to work with the esteemed hand surgeons who rely on TriMed's fragment specific hardware as well as to represent Conformis' revolutionary custom knee replacement system.
In his free time, Andy enjoys playing bass in a band with friends and receiving lessons in humility during pick up soccer games in Brooklyn.
